Say only what is true
We describe our method, our ingredients and our packaging. Where we do not have information — a nutrition panel not yet transcribed, a claim we cannot substantiate — we say so rather than filling the gap.
Our Story
We believe good food begins with honest preparation.
Our Story
LACMORA is inspired by the timeless Indian tradition of making ghee with patience, care and respect for the craft.
From milk to curd, from churning to butter, and finally to golden ghee — our approach celebrates the traditional Bilona method while bringing it to the modern kitchen.
We believe good food begins with honest preparation.
How We Work
Not a mission statement — just what actually governs the decisions.
We describe our method, our ingredients and our packaging. Where we do not have information — a nutrition panel not yet transcribed, a claim we cannot substantiate — we say so rather than filling the gap.
Setting curd takes hours. Churning takes longer than separating. Slow-cooking butter into ghee cannot be hurried without changing what comes out. We build the schedule around that, not the other way round.
Glass, sealed, labelled with what is inside and how to keep it. Ghee is a simple product and it deserves simple, honest packaging.
The Craft
The Bilona method is not something LACMORA invented. It is how ghee was made in Indian households long before it was made in factories — milk set into curd, curd churned with a wooden staff, butter lifted off and slowly turned to ghee over a low flame.
What we have done is keep that sequence intact at a scale that can reach your kitchen, and be plain about every step of it. You can read the whole process, stage by stage, and decide for yourself whether it is worth the difference.
